After the trash match of the year went down in Saudi Arabia, AARP eligible wrestlers Goldberg and The Undertaker were looking to wash the stench away. Taker did a pretty good job with his match at Extreme Rules and Goldberg followed suit and finished off Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam.
Dolph himself hasn’t had a clearly defined role in the WWE ever since he looked like a villain from a Marvel movie .. but there is a reason why the WWE has kept him around all of these years. Much like A.J Styles – Dolph is one of the few men on the roster that can make his opponent look really good. Soo when the WWE needed a wrestler to sell the spear like he was dying in the ring, Dolph was the obvious choice.
And after all of these years we know not to expect miracles out of a Goldberg match. Hoping it goes beyond 3 minutes is asking for to much. The 5 star superkick at the beginning by Dolph and the spear by Goldberg made this too short of a match fun to watch. If anything it showed that Goldberg is in great shape for a 52 year old and Dolph is still a underrated and valuable asset in the WWE.
