One of the ghosts from Randy Orton’s WWE past came back to haunt him when Amy Weber resurfaced after 15 years to set the record straight regarding her departure from the company in 2005. Amy was hired by the WWE at the start of the dreadful Diva Search era and was a member of JBL’s cabinet. Fast Forward to 2020 and a Youtube Video of Amy in response to WWE lapdog Bruce Pichard starts to trend.
According to Bruce, Amy left because she couldn’t take a “rib” over her picture appearing on a poster for a Japanese strip club. We know that wrestling exists in an alternate universe and “ribbing” translates into harassment in the real world. Amy said her departure was really due to a disturbing incident involving Randy Orton and Edge. If you listen to her words you get the sneaking suspicion there is something missing from her story.
The likely missing piece is that Randy really wanted to sleep with Amy and retaliated when she didn’t fall into line, especially when a lot of women from that era wound up sleeping with more than one wrestler. Look at who Randy was in 2005 and then look at Amy. He was sleazeball with the emotional maturity of a 12 year old, she was wayy out of his league.
After Amy’s story surfaced a lot of wrestling fans clutched their pearls in outrage and started victim shaming. Amy was called a liar and a attention seeker who was trying to ruin Edge and Randy’s WrestleMania glory. Fifteen years later Edge and Randy have rebranded themselves. Randy went from garbage human being, to a so called family man. Edge went from a serial cheater to a devoted husband. The irony of Amy’s story is that JBL of all people comes out smelling like a rose. Amy has went on record to say that he was nothing but a gentleman towards her.
Give Amy credit for leaving that toxic industry because these responses below are exactly why a lot of victims of harassment and assault don’t come forward.
After Amy dropped her video – I know I wasn’t the only one who noticed the dead silence from the wrestling industry. Bruce, Randy and Edge..etc didn’t say a word in response and we know why .. NO ONE wanted to open that can of worms.

Text of the incident
“The trainer told me to go into the men’s locker room and to grab two Ibuprofen, which I did,” Weber said . “He told me what to do, I did it. And some ice. So when I was on the plane, on the way back to Alaska, we had more matches there, more TV to tape, I was laying across three seats. We were all sleeping, and I’m going to go ahead and call people out because this is a truthful video.
“Randy Orton decided to come up behind my chair and he slammed into it like a linebacker, so hard that I landed on the floor of the airplane. And then he said to me, ‘You’re gonna learn, [b—h].’ I didn’t understand what he was talking about. So I turned around, went back to sleep.”
Edge incident below
“I was awoken by someone pouring a drink in my face. So immediately I popped up, I looked up, and I saw Edge, yes, you, Edge, with a partially drank drink in his hand, there was a little bit left, and it was the same color that was basically all over me,” Weber said. “So I stood up on the airplane seat, and I was eye-to-eye to him, and I said, ‘Do you have a problem with me?’ And he goes, ‘What are you talking about?’ Of course he denied it, but the drink was in his hand. So I said, ‘Come on, you want to fight me? Let’s go, you want to be a man, go ahead, let’s go, fight me. You want to pour a drink on me?’ And he kept denying it, but I know he did it, I saw the cup in his hand.
“At the end of the day, did I deserve it because I took two Ibuprofen that the trainer told me to take, and some ice, from the guy’s locker room? I don’t think so.”
